My track is on wall block or 2a modified stone with 1/4 inch crusher fines for balast and I use a lazer level to shoot elevation every 3 feet.

nice. how did you lay your track? on my garden latour it is mulch with pea gravel for ballast, but its hard to make that even and have a consitant grade.

ok, you need to strap a camcorder to a flat car, put in front of the engine, and record your layout like that. do that when you are done.
